Great Sand Dunes

Located near Alamosa. This national park contains the tallest sand dunes in North America. These sand dunes were formed after lakes within the valley receded, and exposed sand was blown by the predominant southwest winds, eventually forming the dune field. This park is open 24/7, year round! There are no limitations, timed entries, or reservations to visit. The Sand Dunes provide opportunities for hiking, driving trails, sand sledding, photograph, and night watching.

Located on the outskirts of Denver. A true Colorado original. In addition to its blockbuster summer concert series (everyone from the Beatles to U2 have played here), Red Rocks is open year-round, featuring the Red Rocks Performers Hall of Fame and the Trading Post Loop Hiking Trail, a 1.4-mile adventure through spectacular rock formations, valleys and a natural meadow. Better yet, have Red Rocks Hikes take you on a guided sunrise hike, which lasts around 70 minutes. Afterward, they'll serve you a delicious brown bag lunch and coffee. You can then explore Red Rocks on your own.

Located near Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak is America's Mountain, and was the inspiration for the "purple mountain majesties" line in Katharine Lee Bates' iconic anthem, "America the Beautiful." Pikes Peak is an American icon whose 14,115-foot summit challenges and inspires visitors from around the globe. It is located in Colorado Springs. You can drive the spectacular winding toll road, or take the famous Pike's Peak Cog Railway. Awaiting you at the summit of 14,000 feet is well-stocked gift shop including Pikes Peak donuts – the only donuts made at an altitude over 14,000 feet. Other food includes burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, desserts, coffee, tea, soft drinks and bottled water.
