South Fork is toward the southern part of Colorado, situated where two rivers meet. Historically the town has supported forestry and mining, however in recent decades the area has become popular for tourism.

There are several options for traveling to the wedding. See below for your options.

Flying in to Denver (DEN), then driving to Alamosa. This is about a 4 hour drive, and will provide you with a lot of scenery and activities to enjoy along the way.

Option #2. Flying in to Denver (DEN), then taking a puddle jumper flight to Alamosa. The airport code for Alamosa is ALS, it is called the San Luis Valley Regional Airport. Rental cars are more limited if you choose this option, so you may want to carpool or taxi to the hotel.

Option #3. Flying in to Albuquerque, New Mexico. From Albuquerque it will take approximately a 3.5 hours to drive to Alamosa.

Option #4. Flying in to Colorado Springs (COS). Colorado springs is a 2.5 hour drive from Alamosa.

There is a room-block in place for guests. There are alternate options available based on what suits your preference. Please see the "Travel" tab for this information.

It is a one-hour drive from the hotels (which are located in Alamosa) to the venue. The wedding is scheduled to begin at 2 pm and end at 9 pm to accommodate for travel time.

In lieu of gifts, Simon and Melissa request that their guests spend their resources enjoying activities and time with family during the event. The couple would, however, appreciate any favorite recipes that you would like to share, which would help them prepare for one of life's most formidable questions, "what's for dinner?".

If there is something that you would like to share with the couple, please send it to 1912 Portobago Lane, Hanover, MD 21076. It could be a gadget or tool that you find to be helpful, a resource to support their newly formed marriage, something comical, or whatever you would like.

Because the couple will be traveling in for this event, they would prefer to keep the logistics simple. As a result of this, minimal decorations will be used to ensure ease of preparation and take-down. This will ensure that guests can spend time before and after the event gathering with others and relaxing. If you have time before or after the event, we would like for you to spend it enjoying the area and each other.

That is completely ok. We fully acknowledge that holding a wedding mid-week near a holiday and in this location may not work for everyone. We know that you love us and look forward to the next time that our paths cross!
